Funding for Neptune Theatre School’s Pre-Professional Training Program is available through the Edmund C Bovey Bursary. The Bursary will be awarded to one student per year who has successfully completed the admission requirements for entrance to the Pre-Professional Training Program and who has demonstrated financial need. This endowed award was made possible through the generous donation by David G. Fountain of the 2005 Edmund C. Bovey Award awarded to him by the Council for Business and the Arts in Canada and additional contributions made by him.
One award is given each year to one student in the amount of $2500.
Criteria for receiving the Edmund C. Bovey Bursary
Applicants are evaluated on the basis of:
• Proven artistic merit and commitment to theatre
• Acceptance into the Pre-Professional Training Program
• Financial need
• All students are eligible to apply for the bursary

How to apply:
Application: Download and complete the attached Bursary Application form
Personal Statement: Include a one page statement concerning your educational goals, extracurricular activities, ambitions and accomplishments.
Reference Letter: Applicants must provide two letters of reference. One letter must be from someone who is familiar with your theatrical pursuits. Referees are to forward these letters directly to the Bursary Committee.
Notification of Award: The student will be notified in writing of the award granted. Decisions will be made by mid-July.
Deadline for Applications: June 30, 2009 –Late applications will not be accepted.
