The Neptune Theatre Foundation is a Registered Charity and is incorporated as a not-for-profit organization under the Societies Act of Nova Scotia. There are two ways in which you can support Neptune Theatre and help us remain accessible, affordable and attainable: donations and sponsorships. Theatre does far more than just entertain - it enriches our community and provides sustenance for the mind and the soul.

We simply would not be here without the ongoing support of our patrons and donors.  Together we make possible the broad range of programs at Neptune Theatre that educate, entertain and challenge so many people each year and to ensure they remain accessible.

Our programs improve the quality of life in the community and beyond with your help. For example, our Pay What You Can performances enable anyone to attend one of our performances at a cost they can afford. And, as part of our mission to encourage youth to develop a life-long interest in live theatre, this year our Young Neptune Company tour is expanding to include school performances in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island for the first time in its 28 year history.  Now more children will be introduced to live theatre, many for the first time.

But this is only part of the reason why we need your support.  Ticket sales make up about 60% of our annual operating budget. While this is a high percentage relative to many arts organizations, the cost of producing high quality professional live theatre continues to increase each year and we want to maintain affordable ticket prices. This is where you come in. We rely on the generosity of our sponsors and donors to help us make up the difference.

Neptune strives to create vibrant, diverse and accessible live theatre in Halifax. With your sponsorship or tax deductible donation, Neptune Theatre can continue to have a positive and lasting effect on our community.
