No matter which form it’s in, whether the Frames, the Swell Season, or just Glen by himself, I can always find something new in the words and melodies. PETER DEIWICK

Role: Guy Bio: Peter Deiwick has been a professional singer and actor in Canada for over 20 years. He has been given the opportunity to perform everything from rock music, starting his career at 18 touring with Juno award winning artist Lee Aaron, to acting roles in television series such as Reign on the CW network, and Taken on NBC. Peter has been featured in stage shows such as Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You and Rock of Ages. He was also the original Gilbert in the original Canadian musical Anne and Gilbert. He is thrilled to be sharing the stage with such a talented group of artists.

He was part of the award winning cast in Toronto and then completed the 1st U.S. National Tour. Thanks to Bruce and the gang at Talent House. This is George’s eighth season as Neptune Theatre’s Artistic Director.  Other theatres include The National Arts Centre; the Tarragon Theatre, Passe Muraille, the Royal Alexandra Theatre and Mirvish Productions.

 

SCOTT CHRISTIAN

Role: Musical Director Neptune: Addams Family, Shrek Bio: Scott is thrilled to be back at Neptune for his third season. He composed the music for A Misfortune, based on Chekhov’s short story which will premiere this summer at the Charlottetown Festival. Recent musical director credits include: Company (Theatre 20); Snow White (Drayton Entertainment); The Rocky Horror Show (Sudbury Theatre Centre); Marry Me A Little (Tarragon Theatre) and Ragtime (Shaw Festival – Musical Director Intern/Pianist). JOHN DINNING

Role: Set Designer Neptune: Mending Fences, The Comedy of Errors, Annie, The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, The Producers, Rexy! Bio: 37 years of production design in Canada, the United States and Singapore including 45 original productions such as Schwartz's: The Musical (Centaur); Anne & Gilbert (Summerside) and has recently designed sets/props/costumes for the new musical Prom Queen at the Segal Centre this past fall. John trained at the National Theatre School and is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada and A.P.A.S.Q. He has taught 5 years and designed sets for The Fountain School for the Performing Arts at Dalhousie University.

 

DANIELLE WILSON

Role: Set Design Assistant Bio: Danielle is thrilled to be assisting John Dinning with the set design for Once. As a second year Fountain School Performing Arts technical theatre student, she has worked on 8 productions. Two as assistant set designer, one as head scenic painter, two as scenic painter, two as scenic carpenter and two as props builder. She has designed and built both costumes and simple sets for community theatre. Her desire to know more and to create better sets is what led her to FSPA.

 

HELENA MARRIOTT

Role: Costume Designer Neptune: Miracle on 34th Street, Stones in His Pockets, Stag & Doe, Great Expectations, Billy Bishop, Mending Fences, A Christmas Carol, Red, Eighteen, Sweeney Todd, Fly Fishers’ Companion, Fathers and Sons, Mourning Dove, The Syringa Tree, Flying on Her Own, Fire. Other: Over fifteen seasons designing for Neptune Theatre School including: Dracula, The Ash Girl, Little Women, Les Miserables, Guys and Dolls, 13, Animal Farm, The Dining Room. Other Theatre: Refuge (EFT) Film/TV: Blackfly (Seasons 1 & 2). Training: Graduate of Dalhousie University Costumes Studies.

 

RENÉE BRODE

ANDY ALLEN

Role: Sound Designer Neptune: Shrek, A Year With Frog And Toad, The Addams Family, A Christmas Carol. Other Theatre: Wizard of Oz (Grand Theatre, London); Shrek, Urinetown (Theatre Sheridan); Phédre (Stratford Festival); Marion Bridge, Barefoot In The Park, The Boy’s Own Jedi Handbook: I and II (Theatre & Company). Other: Andy has enjoyed 17 seasons with the Stratford Festival in its audio department and is grateful for their support in allowing him to pursue his design career. He is also a member of Downie Street Collective, Stratford’s premiere chameleon party band.

 

LAURA CASWELL

Role: Movement Director Neptune: Choreography: Wizard of Oz, Christmas Carol, Frog and Toad. Assistant/Shadow Director: Christmas Story, Colony of Unrequited Dreams. Multiple Performer credits including Merritt nomination for Ms Andrew in Mary Poppins, and many witches. Other Theatre: Assistant director at Sudbury Theatre Centre, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Angelwalk Theatre. Director/Choreographer for Georgetown Globe Theatre, Benares House Mississauga, Toronto Fringe and Rose Theatre Brampton. Laura is also Interim Director of Education at the Neptune Theatre.
