Cinderella... available to you, at your venue.

Based on the age-old tale of Cinderella, Neptune Theatre’s artistic director, Jeremy Webb has created an original holiday musical comedy that’s fun for the whole family based on British pantomime.

"I wanted to bring the tradition of the British panto to Neptune, but at the same time be mindful that not everyone knows what a 'pantomime' is," says writer/director Webb. "There's a gigantic tradition of the holiday panto in the UK. With whole families going year after year and seeing the show."

The panto takes a well-known story, such as a fairy tale, and infuses it with extravagant characters, dancing, singing, comedic moments and encourages the audience to get in on the fun with participation.

Cinderella tells the story of a young woman who longs for a better life away from her menacing stepsisters. To help make her dreams come true, an amateur fairy godmother appears and grants her wish to attend the Royal Ball. Cinderella is then in a race against the clock to try and find her prince before the spell is broken at the stroke of midnight.  

Packed full of toe-tapping songs, belly-laughs and fun surprises, this show leaves you with the magical feeling of love and joy.

Cinderella has proven itself to be a crowd-pleasing favourite with excellent sales. Over 24,000 people joined us to see CINDERELLA at Neptune Theatre over the holiday season. The show has become the most successful holiday production in Neptune's long history. It was hard to get a ticket, with many Nova Scotians bringing their entire family to enjoy the antics, music and dance on display.

The show package contains:

• The script – production script, with local references to be swapped in by venue
• The score – arrangements of songs by Musical Director for 5 piece band
• Song licensing information – allowing venue to apply for grand performance rights
• Set & prop design (optional) – venue may secure rights to use the Neptune Set, or make their own arrangements
• Costume design (optional) – venue may secure rights to use Neptune costume package, or make their own arrangements.
• Sound design (files provided)
• The venue would pay for script & score rental and royalty fees, design royalties (set, costume, sound)

Alternatively, the script & score is available as a package, without production elements for a 10% royalty.
