Youth Performance Company
The Youth Performance Company (YPCo) is an elite training program for students aged 13-18 who show exceptional talent in the areas of acting, singing and dancing and wish to advance their Triple Threat skills.
In this process-oriented program, students work with a professional creative team to hone their triple threat skills. The culmination of this program is a full scale production on Neptune Theatre’s Scotiabank Stage.
Summer Intensive – YPCo Boot Camp
YPCo Boot Camp, which provides approximately 2 weeks or 80 hours of instruction, will run from Monday to Friday, July 10 – 21.
Special this year, the final Showcase will be an open-air performance held on Saturday, July 22 at the Public Gardens as part of their Canada 150 Year celebration.
Auditions for Boot Camp will take place on Sunday, May 7. No appointment required, BUT you must be at the Scotiabank Stage entrance at 10am, and be prepared to stay until 1pm. For the audition please have prepared one song (either sung a cappella or bring sheet music) and one monologue no longer than one minute (preferable memorized).
The fee for Boot Camp is $500 + HST.
Eligibility to Audition for the Fall Company
Students must attend a Boot Camp Program in the past three years or have been a cast member of a previous Youth Performance Company production. The audition date for YPCo Fall Program will be posted following the Summer Intensive.
The Fall Program, which provides approximately 160 hours of instruction and performance over 9 weeks, is $500 + HST.
