IMPROV for ADULTS at Neptune Theatre School

After our first exciting year bringing improv to nearly 100 students we are excited to expand out Improv Program at the Neptune Theatre School. Under the helm of the Director of Education (Second City Educated), Laura Caswell and Halifax's Leading Improvisers (Liam Fair and Bethany Dunn of "Hello City" and Adrianne Gagnon of "Mission Critical Comedy") this is the perfect place for you to do three things: 

  1. Begin your journey to becoming an improviser
  2. Build on your skills, break out of your shell and gain confidence
  3. Take it to the next level; intense performative training




Drop in Improv Classes are open to everyone 18yrs+. No experience or pre-registration necessary. With a focus on group games and theatresports type activity this is a fun, silly and a great way to spend your Thursday nights. 

*New* Join us for our special Improv Mix Mingle and Jams for (only $5 for newcomers!) - dates listed below where the bar is open, and we allow time for mingling, brainstorming a brief open jam session at 9pm.

IMPROV Sessions - 5 Week Programs

IMPROV Sessions - 5 weeks of classes aimed to build skills and confidence for those wanting to take their improv to the next level. Open to everyone wanting to have a little more focused training but not yet ready for our improv conservatory or Masterclasses. 

IN THE MOMENTNovember 6th - December 4th (5 weeks) 

What does it mean to truly listen? To shut off your filters and really be in the moment? This improv class will help you take your improv to the next level as you become a truly amazing scene partner. Creating clear characters and relationships, these five weeks will allow you to develop a clear working dialogue and to have more fun in your improv scenes. The class will culminate is a small performance. 

The moment you arrive, you wil never want to leave! 


Conservatory - AUDITION ONLY - 8 people selected

This program will entail 30 weeks of focused training in performative improv including theatresports, longform and sketch comedy. 

To join this program you must attend a group auditoin on Thursday December 20th, from 7-9pm. (Details to follow)

Three 10 week programs (90 hrs total)

3 hrs  3-6pm 

$199 +HST/ 10 week program

($597 for the whole 30 weeks).
