AVAILABLE ROLES
Emilio
Emilio can be portrayed as any gender and as such actors of any gender identity are encouraged to audition. Emilio is a boisterous and charismatic musical theatre performer. They are comfortable in the spotlight but sometimes struggle with being themself. Their insecurities sometimes lead them down the path of white lies. They are a loyal friend and believe in the people they love.
This is an all-ages show and auditioning actors should be comfortable singing live, with physical comedy and interacting with audiences of children.
The actor cast as Emilio will also puppeteer the Chameleon. Puppetry experience is an asset, but not required!
In addition to accepting submissions from established artists, we believe in seeking people who desire to perform and have not yet had the opportunity. We strive to make the audition process as comfortable as possible, without any pressure to “get the part”. We want to get to know you as an artist, as we discover the characters’ voices together.
Equity and Non-Equity actors are eligible to apply. Artists will be engaged under a TYA contract. Preference will be given actors living in Atlantic Canada.
