A Workshop with Adam Francis Proulx

Curious about puppetry? Looking to add a new tool to your actor’s toolbox? This hands-on workshop is designed for musical theatre and stage actors who want to explore how puppetry techniques can enhance their performance skills. We'll cover the building blocks of puppetry and discover how even a little puppetry knowledge can make you a stronger, more versatile actor.

In this two hour workshop, we’ll work individually and in groups, covering the building blocks of puppetry and discovering how even a little puppetry knowledge can make you a stronger, more versatile actor.

 

Adam Francis Proulx is a Canadian puppeteer and theatre artist. He recently built and performed Olaf in Neptune Theatre’s production of Disney's Frozen. He also appears as Fuzz the Hamster on The Fabuloud Show ith Fay & Fluffy (Family Jr.) and is in Halifax directing Emilio's A Million Chaeleons, a Dora-nominated show he created that recently celebrated an Off-Broadway run.

No prior puppetry experience required—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play! Participants must be 16+.
