NEW THIS MONTH!

Neptune Theatre/PARC:  It’s All About You - Atlantic Playwrights Edition

This is a session for Atlantic Canadian playwrights (NS, NL, PEI, NB) to talk about your plays and soft-pitch your scripts in a one-on-two meeting with PARC's Artistic Director Santiago Guzmán  and Neptune Theatre's Artistic Director Jeremy Webb!

Neptune Theatre continues in its mandate to open up the theatre doors and make sure all artists feel that they have access to the creative process of Atlantic Canada’s A house theatre company. Neptune Theatre wants to produce local work and Atlantic Canadian stories.

“It’s All About You” is an ongoing Neptune Theatre project where artists can spend some time with the artistic leadership and where we make the time all about you. For this initiative, Neptune is proud to partner with PARC to reach playwrights across the region!

Aside from a submission portal that welcomes script submissions, this project is in place to welcome playwrights into the room with their scripts, pitches for a new play, or to discuss their ideas before anything is even written down.

In preparation for this soft-pitching session, PARC is excited to provide you with some preliminary knowledge about what makes a pitch memorable, poignant, and exciting for producers and ADs!

Thursday, Sept 19 - 12pm - 1pm - Group info session

(in-person at Neptune Theatre's Boardroom, and live-streamed via Google Meet)

Guided by Santiago, participants will have a chance to discuss in general what is required in a pitch meeting; whether formal or impromptu. A discussion about what is important to share and perhaps what a producer/AD may need and want to know about your play.

20-minute individual meetings for those who are invited to book:

Tuesday, Sept 24 - 10 am - 5 pm - In person:

Pratt & Whitney Rehearsal Hall at Neptune Theatre

Friday, Sept 27 - 10 am - 5 pm - In person or virtual:
