About Neptune TourCo School Tour

TourCo is an essential part of Neptune’s Education and Outreach programs that aims to bring performances across Nova Scotia and the Maritimes, giving those who may not otherwise have the chance to experience live professional theatre the opportunity to do so. All performers in the shows will be working under the CTA - section 55, TYA agreement. Note that additional duties may include but are not limited to setting up and tearing down the set and props at each venue, some driving (if you have a license), question and answer with the students and staff, early mornings, overnight stays on the road, mostly weekday daytime performances.

Two ways to apply:

1. Submit through Neptune Theatre’s Submission Portal by using your existing profile or by creating one by uploading a resume and headshot.

Link to Submission Portal: https://neptunetheatre.submit.com/show/2

2. Submit a resume and headshot in PDF format by email to: tour@neptunetheatre.com

Please remember to label your document file name with your first and last name, the play title, and include which character(s) you would like to be considered for in the body of the email.

We recognize that not everyone will have what could be considered to be a professional headshot photo or resume. Please do not let this be a barrier to your application. A clear photo of your face will do and if you are not confident with your resume, a short paragraph of your work as an artist and why you want to be a part of these shows will be acceptable. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to us at tour@neptunetheatre.com.

Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:

Neptune Theatre seeks to promote equity, inclusion and access by amplifying voices and stories that have been historically marginalized or underrepresented, and we factor this into every decision we make.

We encourage submissions from all genders, ethnicities, abilities and identities. Priority consideration will be given to those who self-identify as IBPOC, LGBTQ2S+, d/Deaf, living with disabilities, and/or facing other systemic challenges. All artists are invited to remove measurements and physical features from the resume.

All should be aware that Neptune does not tolerate any form of harassment of its employees, clients, volunteers, or any persons visiting or spending time on our premises or online spaces.
